Background

My name is Chelsea, and my own healing journey began long before I became a therapist.

In college, I met with my first therapist and began learning what truly felt supportive — and what didn’t. Over the years, I continued exploring healing through art therapy, psychiatry, and coaching, and discovered that mentorship and experiential growth were the most transformative for me.
In my mid-twenties, while working as a teacher, I began a daily meditation practice that changed my life and helped me understand healing in a deeper way. Through mindfulness, I discovered a sense of steadiness and wholeness that reached far beyond talking about problems. As I shared these practices with my students, I realized that supporting emotional wellbeing — not just academic learning — was where my heart truly belonged.

That realization led me to transition from education into the mental health field. Studying transpersonal and mindfulness-based approaches at Naropa University solidified my belief that healing is not just about symptom reduction — it’s about reconnecting to our inherent resilience, presence, and capacity for transformation.

Today, I work as a Mental Health Advocate in a high school and see clients in my private practice during evenings and weekends. My work centers on trauma healing, post-traumatic growth, and trauma-sensitive mindfulness—supporting people in rediscovering their inner steadiness and self-trust.

Transpersonal Presence

“Transpersonal presence is not a mystical experience, but a deeply relational, compassionate presence that emerges when we are fully regulated and attuned — able to hold suffering without collapse or distance.”

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is becoming a buzzword these days that is thrown around without people having a deep understanding of what it is and how it can change your life.
